Question:
We are running 4.6C with 4.6D_ext kernel. Oracle 10.2.0.2 on Solaris. We have a couple of users with access to CAT9. They can run this in the foreground with no issues, but when they try to run it in the background it fails. Can anyone tell me what the issue might be? Why would errors show up when running in the background? They are able to run background jobs with other tcodes with no problems.

have you run a trace on the auths (ST01)? look at return codes >0
there could be an additional SUBMIT auth required for special programs/tcodes
