call me stupid but I am trying indirect role assignment and when I import roles into the central system they overwrite the roles from another system/client if they are the same name. Can you / is there a to enable same named roles in multiple clients for indirect role assignment

For CUA you don't want the actual roles from the child systems to exist in the parent. You only want to do a Text Comparison to pull the titles of these roles.

When assigning roles indirect to the HR Org the roles do not have to be on the CUA parent client.
They only have to be on the client where you assign them.

Apologies, I was not clear enough.
We have a standard ORG structure we cannot use for role assignment, this org structure is copied to all systems but solution manager (our CUA).
In solution manager we set up a different org structure just for assigning roles to.
We need to import roles from the child systems in PFCG (front panel menu) and assign them to composite roles. These roles are pulled in and have a system client field but if you have the same role name in 2 systems one seems to overwrite the other!
That is our problem.

Reply from SAP on this was that they had not thought of this when they designed security so it does not work well and will not be changed. Basically to use this you need different role names in different clients and systems.
