In the material master, I need to set field selection Batch Management to be actived. To do this, MARC-XCHPF (Batch management requirement indicator) in field selection group 75 should be set as required. All fields in field selection group such as:
MARA-XCHPF Batch management requirement indicator
MARA-XGCHP Indicator: Approved batch record required
MARC-UCHKZ Indicator for Original Batch Management
MARC-UCMAT Reference Material for Original Batches
MARD-LGPBE Storage bin
MARD-LWMKB Picking area for lean WM
will be set to be required.
I do not want like this.
Would you please help me how to solve this?

Hi BSL,
You need to de-assign the remaining 6 fields from Selection Group 75. Here's how to do it.
Go to Customizing (Trans.code: SPRO)
Logistics General --> Material Master --> Field Selection -->Assign Fields to Field Selection Group (FSG).
Sort as per FSG 75. Except the field Batch Management, remove 75 from all other 6 fields and save.
Then go to "Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens". Enter F.Sel.Group 75. You will see only one entry for Batch Management. Change the setting from Optional to Required and save.
Your problem is solved.

I have tried to do as your suggestion, but I think that in upgrading the field selection group 75 will be repaired/set as original by the system.
Can you make sure that this field selection group will be ignored by the system in upgrading?
