Question:
Hi!
We are working in an SAP IS-Retail environment, and we are about to
implement HUM for part of our processes to begin with.
When setting the HU requirement checkbox for a new test Storage
Location there is no problem.
For an existing Storage Location we have deleted all stock: table LQUA is
empty and MARD-LABST is empty for this Storage Location.
The existing Storage Location used to be non-WM managed. Now WM is
active here. We have checked with transaction MIDO if there are any
open / active MM inventory documents. None were found.
However, when trying to set the HU requirement check box the following
error keeps showing:

Message no. M7456
Diagnosis
The system determined that physical inventory document items from
your selection on the initial screen had a status at the time the
program was run that indicated they could be posted. Of these items the system was able to post items.
Procedure
If the system was not able to post all the items, it issues a log
listing the cause. See the error log.

Steps:
Stock deleted at MM & WM level
Inventory docs in MM completed.
IMG / Logistics general / HUM / Basics / Materials Management /
Inventory Management / HU requirement for Storage Locations……/ Select
our Plant DC01 / Select Storage Location TD01 / Assign Storage Location
TDHU as partner St.Loc. / Flag the checkbox for HU requirement.
When entering or saving the error message a described above will show.

Done that....but really wonder if every existing SLoc for current SAP users in the world have to be abandoned, all related config changed, in order to activate HUM. Cannot be, don't you agree?
