Hello SAPians,
During creation of subcontracting PO in ME21n, for a material having two alternate BOMs (1 and 2), by default PO selects BOM1
In order for BOM2 to apperar / to be selected (under PO items-->Material data tab->Explode BOM) what are the settings to be made.

Hi
You need to create a new production version (in the Material Master), need to assign the BOM for Alt 2 in that prod version. You assign this production version in the inforecord for Subcontracting Order.
This will solve your problem.
