I know that it can't be updated in a direct manner.
What is way to update it?

MR21 is the transaction. if you have stock, then you create automatically an FI acounting document for the value gain or loss.

Answer:
Std price of material with S indicator can be replaced with a new Std costing run in next period. But Std price which appears in Costing view 2 of material master for materials with V indicator can be replaced by putting revised cost in Planned price column and then run dummy std costing run for the material with V indicator and release. This will replace Std cost of the material with V indicator.
MR21 is used for MAP updation.
