change standard price of material

Question: Hi Gurus,

I am attempting to change the Standard Price of a certain material, but when I enter transaction MM02, the field for the Standard Price is grayed-out.

Is there a way to change the current Standard Price beside MM02? Is there a possibility?

Hope you can help me with this matter.

Thanks in advance.

Answer:
U hv to use TCode: MR21/MR22 to change the price of a material. It cannot be done thru MM02.

Sirnus

Answer:
When I use MR21, it displays "A current or future standard price exists for material xxxxxxx"

How can I change it when this message always pops up? Do I have to do something first before doing MR21?

Hello,

I tried testing transaction MR21 to change the Standard Price of the material but, when I tried saving it, an error shows up at the bottom screen. The error message - A current or future standard price exists for material xxxxxxx.

Is there a way to by-pass this error and update the Standard Price of the material on the Material Master?

Hope you can help me with this one.[/b]

Answer:
Hi,

MR21 is only used to update the MAP. It is not meant for standard price.

MAP referred to Moving Average Price. The standard price change shall be made via transaction CKMPRPN and CKME.

Thanks for that info HT.

Actualy, I haven't use these transactions before. Would it be ok if you provide me the procedures how to use these? Can you give me instructions and details for these transactions? Are they dependent to each other?

Hope you can guide me and help me with this matter.
