Hi,

The BOM explosion will only be applicable in case of Subcontract PO. Are you referring to this particular scenario?. What have you set up in your system?

Hi,

First you need to maintain BOM material and its components.

After that you should be using Item Cate 'L' and then enter the BOM parent material.

Thats it you are thru..

Thank you ha tran for your reply,
I want to explode the BOM in my PO-STO (Stock Transport Order).
Is it possible?

Edo.

Answer:
Hi,

As I have said in my previous posting, the BOM explosion is only feasible in case of subcontract PO. Therefore, it is not possible for your stock transfer process. BTW, what was of your specific business process?. Why would you like to get such BOM explosion for your STO?.

Cheers,
HT

hi Ha Tran,

my company is dealing with motorcycle.
we use PO-STO to tranfer a motorcycle from one plant to another.
a helmet, jacket and so on are materials that should be maintained as standard component for the motorcycle.
when i transferred a motorcycle from one plant to another plant, the component i state above should be tranferred too, that why i need the BOM exploded in po-sto.
btw, thanks ha tran for you kind reply.

Answer:
Hi,

How did you maintain/define your material item - motorcycle in your inventory warehouse (ie. the stock-keeping unit)?. Was it kept in stock as the entire 'Motorcycle' set or in terms of either SKD or CKD?. If it is inventorized as the whole set, then it is not logical to break it down during stock transfer process.

Cheers,
HT
