Hi SAP gurs,
When I create a Sub contracting Purchase orders , the BOM explosion is not happening automatically even though BOM is defined for the out put and input material. It gives error message "Not possible to determine any components" .I have defined the output material as a semi finished with special procurement type as 30 in MRP 2 view. Is there is any other setting I am missing in configure which will solve the issue. Can some one guide me?

Hi,
At first, I would assume you have properly maintained the BOM (Production) in Transaction CS01. What you should do is to check if your BOM validity period is correct and if the production version is not blocked.

We had a similar issue - The issue is that when creating BOM/CS01 for the finished goods, you must pay attention to the effectivity valid from: this date must be in within the delivery date on finished goods PO - LESS the plnd delivery time on the SubContract Info ME11 and article master. This then gets the BOM valid.
