Hi All
Can anyone help me. I am trying to enter dates in to to effective out date on MRP 2 screen for discontinued items. However the system is still planning the item further out than the date I have entered and also there is no indication when looking in MD04 as to when the effective out date is (which I would expect to see).
what i would like to be able to do is enter an effective out date against a material so that the system plans no further orders for that product after the date entered.
Does anyone know what i am doing wrong or what I need to do. Currently there are two options set up for the discontinuation indicator. These are:
Single/parallel discontinued part / material
and
Dependant parallel discontinued part / material
When I enter option 1 the system asks me for a follow up material which we dont always have
When I enter option 2 it resets the effective out date.
