Spainish characters like Ñ is not displayed correctly

Question: Hi,

System : SAP ECC 5.0

We have upgraded our System from 46B to ECC 5.0. We are facing a problem. The special character for Spain like Ñ is not displayed correctly on screen for print preview. The Ñ will be displayed only on screen as a #.

Could you please suggest us a solution for this.

Thanks and Regards
Prashant

Answer:
Hi Snowy,

I thought i would get some reply regarding the Version of SAP GUI. But i checked the version of SAP GUI and it is not an issue with the SAP GUI. The System on which SAP is not upgraded with ECC 5.0, the characters are being shown properly. But with the same GUI, on the system which has been upgraded with SAP ECC 5.0, some of the characters are shown as '#'.
So this is not an issue related with the SAP GUI. After the upgrade, we are facing this issue.

Please could you suggest us with a solution as soon as possible.

Thanks and Regards
Prashant

Answer:
Have u run RSCPINST to check your NLS settings and to check that the locale files that you need are available on the o/s ?

Mach

Answer:
Hi Guest,

Can you please mention what exactly do i have to check after running the report RSCPINST.

Thanks and Regards
Prashant

Answer:
Run the report and select SIMULATE. On the following screen everything should be green. However what I'm asking might be irrelevant as I thought the ECC was UNICODE.

Mach

Answer:
