Am moving my server to bigger hardware, during installation when it asks for Central Transport HOst ....the guide says:
"Name of the host where the central transport directory is to be located. If you have defined a central trans. host with the alias SAPTRANSHOST, the system proposes this host. Otherwise it suggests the current host as the transport host."
Since DEV is my domain controller, then I would enter the hostname of DEV?

if you select the central trans. host, later you can change it to link to the domain transport (DEV)

But yes, you can put in the DEV host name - I would make sure to check out Technical Knowledge Corner posting 0052 to make sure the server on which you are working has the proper SAPTRANSHOST entered.
