Question:
Great website....you all should be proud !
We've just upgraded our Oracle database to 9.2, and we've noticed a problem with our DBA Calendar (DB13). Our old scheduled jobs are abending with a 'SAPDBA Option no longer supported' message. After looking at various OSS notes, it seems the calendar should be executing BRCONNECT and not SAPDBA.
Does anyone know how to get the calendar to use BRCONNECT instead of SAPDBA when running table statistics.
Thanks.
Answer:
you need to upgrade to DBAtools 6.20 made for Oracle 9.2.
for HP-UX 64 bit, check this link:
http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000402883&
filename to download should look like this:
DBATL620O92_120-10001686.SAR

Answer:
Snowy,
Thanks for your reply.
We upgraded the toolset when we upgraded to 9i (per the SAP Upgrade Instructions). It seems (according to OSS Note 403704) some parameters which reside in the SDBAC (SAP) table need to be updated. It seems this table is used when the DBA Calendar jobs run. Depending on the DBA Calendar job function, parameters will be used from the SDBAC table.

Answer:
Yeah, you're right,
OSS note 403704 explains this process. From BR tools 6.20, SAPDBA does not support all previous functions. Some of them were moved to BRCONNECT.
