I could not find an answer myself. Do you know how to do this!
The changes done to the 'In place Excel' template are to be stored back into BDS with one click of a button.
I have come across FMs to upload file(on frontend) into BDS. But How to save an open document into BDS!
It is driving me bananas. 5 days of work is going useless and stuck here without a way out.
Any idea!

I am not sure what you mean by FM's but the way that we upload in-place documents into the BDS is by the "Move Document" (F6)".
Also, where do you store the template, local or in a Content Server defined in BDS ?
