Question:
Hi,
Trying to write a prog to upload journal data from spread sheet for posting into general ledger via BDC using transaction FB01.
However, those of you that know about financials will know that each G/L Account, has it's own definitions within master data, as to what extra fields (e.g. Value date, Cost centre) that appear on the item screen (in addition to the standards like amount, text, allocation etc). Also, some G/L Accounts access fields in the subscreen window, and others require pop-up screens (e.g. SAPLKEAK - 0300). In short, the whole process of running a BDC is proving fieldishly complicated. Is there an easier way? e.g. A function/BAPI to furnish with structures/tables that takes care of the whole gamut? Or maybe a process that I'm not aware of somewhere within the system?
Unfortunately only running version 3.1i.

There is a freely available program for uploading into R/3 via spreadsheet.
It is customisable and very easy to use. I have set this up for both accruals and journals.
Download it via this link....

Answer:
R, Baz,
Got the download and function code. Shall look at both solutions, and take it from there. Been scratching head for a couple of days on this one.
Thanks a bunch.
