Hi,
I displayed data in a ALV. I want to send it to EXCEL file by clicking EXCEL icon on the tool bar. When I clicked that it says "No Template is set".
Should I write any ABAP code to make this option work properly?

Try other icons, there are several icons you can use to download the data from ALV to Excel.

---two ways make EXcel work..
modify the standard SAP GUI--
whick uses ok_code--VEXCEL...change that to XXL..
or.
u can change the Excel settings--tool--macro--enable VB settings..
