Question:
Hi all,
My users want a Fixed Assets report that displays, among other
things, the useful life of an asset, anlb-ndjar.
How can I determine if any existing SAP reports display this
information?
I've tried hunting and pecking my way thru the menu, without
success.
I've attempted to use the where-used function without receiving
anything helpful. The results point me to a number of 'modules',
none of which actually point me in the direction of a user transaction.
Can anyone help clarify the picture for me?
Thanks!
Shaun

Answer:
Ask your analyst responsible for asset management.
If they don't know, they should be able to find it somewhere for you.
If they can't find it, they're incompetent and should be replaced by someone who can do the job properly. God knows there are enough of them looking for work.
Answer:
Most of the Standard SAP Asset reports are done with Report Writer, Quick Viewer, or SAP Query.
You need to execute this reports and let the user to see which is close to what they have in mind. Unfortunately there is no other short cut if you want to stick with Standard SAP. Otherwise you could easily develop a report to meet the user requirement with any of the report tools mentioned. Tables in concern are begun with "AN".
Standard reports can be found:
Information Sys. > Acctg > Fin.Acctg > Fixed Assets > Asset Acctg Info Sys
Base on experience, most of the users would prefer to have their own report layout. Hence, even if you found a similar one, some determines to have their own way. Good luck and have fun!
