Answer:
I'd say ther is no way to do it.
You could download the object and delete from LSMW, but not practical.

Answer:
What do you mean by 'object details'? If the idea is to stop users from running an option you don't want them to, then look into authorizations. If not, then why do you want ot hide?

Answer:
I bet it's something to do with Sarbanes - Oxley.

Answer:
Hi sapmanie,

Yes, I want to stop other user running the option and even to stop them viewing the option. In the past, I have seen someone managed this by having object owner someone else. I do not know how it was achieved. By importing someone else project or anything else. It was not authorization that I am pretty sure.

I tried but still have no clue.

Thanks.

Answer:
I work for a large American company and we never used to have access to LSMW before SOX (Sarbannes Oxley) was introduced. After the introduction a number of authorisations were tightened up. As a result I now find that I have access to LSMW. If I wanted to I could easily create an LSMW object to do something mischievious, generate the resulting ABAP code, run it, remove the LSMW object (and generated code) and there would be no trace. How's that SOX compliant I wonder. :]

In fact we did something like this many years ago to modify the NAST table so that the Italian invoices could be reprinted after the Italian Police raided us and infomed that the invoices had to be reprinted with a certain phrase in it. The Sapscript for the invoice was changed. We quicky knocked up an LSMW object (had to use a one line source data file to fool it) and addded the ABAP code into the LSMW object to create duplicate entries in the NAST table. Then the user could just go in a print all unprinted invoices. That was it. As there close to 50,000 it saved a lot of manual processing.

Answer:
It probably is compliant, as long as procudures are written down and people obey them down to the letter. Similar to how you can make lead lifejackets under ISO 9000.

These things tend to become rituals, with people just gioing though the motions and ticking boxes without having the faintest &%$% of a clue why they're doing it.

Maybe I should write a dystopian novel about some future civilisation who worship a god called Sabnoxi and await his return, when he will bring order to all and banish the demons of Makndi-zijanz and Kom'nzens.

Ooops, we're drifting OT.
