Question:
Dear friends,
I have defined a line size of 160 for my list program . While running in
foreground the same list width is assigned to the output. However in background some extra space (more than 50 chars.) is added at the end of each line. Can any one explain why this happens and how it can be avoided.

You haven't assigned a different paper size to your background job have you?
