Question:
Hi,
I had a Standard Text with some code in it. The code is given below.
^XA
^LH20,20
^FO10,5^ABN,30,10^FDPN: P51530-P0^FS
^FO10,40^BCN,25,N,,,A^FDPP51530-P0^FS
^FO10,75^ABN,26,15^FDSN: 60512063383^FS
^FO10,100^BCN,35,N,,,A^FD60512063383^FS
^PQ2
^XZ
Please tell me how to change this code to print in 4100 Intermac Printer. I wanna to write it in one of the window of the layout.
Regards
Raghuram Malapati
Answer:
This looks like the barcode description language for another barcode printer.
Get the programmers manual for the original printer.
Decode what the lines say
Get the programmers manual for the Intermec printer
Recode the lines according to the Intermex printer.
Please realise that most printers have their own language (just like a programming language). This includes HP printers (PCL and HPGL), Epson printers and all barcode printers. Most printers have a PCL or Epson emulation mode as well as their own native mode.
Except barcode printers which are beasts unto themselves. Unless you know the source language you cannot decode what is going on. Unless you have access to the language for the other printer you cannot encode.
Do what other people will have to do. Use the internet to locate the programming manuals for these printers if they are available, or contact your technical support and request a copy of them.
