Hi i have few issues realated to bar coding....can someone solve them....
they are..
1) can we reduce the length of a Bar code? i want it to be with length of 7 characters. first 2 char represent the plant.
2)scan bar code to transfer units between QI stock(drop area),Unrestricted -Use stock(FGI), Blocked Stock(REWORK) or scrap(grinder area)
3)down load a pick list and scan units as they are loaded on the truck
4)scan bar-code to count or indentify units during physical inventary
--scan bundle and input total number of bundles in row
--scan bundle and input total number of pieces in row
--print inventary tags for this amount
5)scan an existing unit before breakdown into multiple units or a single uint with loose pieces remaining and re-lable units
6)scan existing units before consolidation into a single larger unit and re-lable
7)make multiple entries for same product number--same pipe in two or more locations
8)handle inventary reconsilations vs. bar code serial numbers without scaning each bundle
can someone suggest on this how to do......pzzzzzzzzz

Erm.... this is presumably a large project?
You might want to concentrate on one area first then move into the others. Also - a list as long as that is unlikely to get an answer on an internet forum (since we use our spare time to be here!)
