I want to trigger the execution of a generic extractor in R/3 without doing it from BW using a infopackage.
Is there a function module to start a extractor run an extractor on R/3

Use transaction code RSA3. You will need to know the extractor name to process that. Good luck.

I know very well to start a extractor in test mode on R/3 or BW in RSA3.
That is not what I want I want an ABAP or a Function module to do the same programmatically.
