Oops....
Search this forum using keywords code and Hide. You will find loads of posts about this, including reasons why code should not be hidden (and yours is one of them...). Amongst that are methods of getting the code back.

Answer:
If the person hiding the code was a consultant or contractor I hope their insurance is up to date.

Answer:
just a thought but can you see the code during debugging, or maybe see it in the result of select in the underlying db or possibly bring back the idiot who hid it & glue them to a chair till it's be re-written - personally like the last idea ( stale bread & water as sustenance )
Answer:
looks like some one's been at this thread with a pair of scissors.....

Answer:
Haven't tried this, but can you write another program which has READ REPORT <name of hidden report> ? You might be able to see the source code this way.

Would be good for this person.
Post a job offer in the job forum.
Mention how many source codes have been hidden, what you want to pay for it.
And make sure the person who did hide the code pays the bill.
Answer:
In my opinion it is a primary function of a consultant to turn over everything he/she can to the client including knowledge, documentation and programming code. That's what they are being paid for. Obviously that is not what this consultant thought and he/she should have been found out and released long before hiding any code.
Sorry your having to go through this now and if it were my company I would go after the conslutant or the consulting firm to un-do the mess at no charge to you.
Rick is right, there are threads in this forum that explains how to read the code.

Answer:
Every example I have seen of someone screwing with the system has been an employee (usually soon to be 'ex'), not an external, so don't jump to the conclusion it was a contractor or consultant
Answer:
I didn't! I said 'if'.

ABAPOSAUR,
Your absolutely right. I was assuming that it was a consultant and shouldn't have.
Guess, as a consultant myself, my experience has been mostly with consultants and some have been pretty careless and irresponsible. Not all, just a few, but that's all it takes to really dammage a project.
I suppose this could have been an employee, in which case I am sure he/she will not get a good reference from his/her former employer!
