Hi all,
I have two files here which have same characterics but diff key figures. They are meant to be updated to the same BW cube. Is there any way i can work around to get it updated to the same record (based on the same characteristics) but diff key figures? Apparently , when i load these two files they had appended the records to the cube instead because of the different record IDs. Due to the two files coming from diff sources , i am unable to combine them in advance and use only an infopackage to update it. Is there any way which i can have two diff infopackages and updating the same records but diff key figures?

There is one aspect that you must not forget.
Even if they are 2 different records in the cube, they get aggregated (summed up) for the characteristic when you view them in a BEx report. So it should not be a matter of concern.
For instance I load data with product serial numbers (1 for 1). When I view the report in BEx at characteristic (product) level (and not at the serial number level), I get the total quantity of each product. But in the cube you see individual records for each product.
