Transaction SMICM. Goto Services. Goto Service Change. Change the Keep alive setting. Ignore the warning.
This will reset when the system is "bounced", that is taken down and brough back on again. So change it at the parameter level, to make it permanent. (Don't ask me, ask your basis guy/gal)

Do you have sap_all in your auth. profile? If you are only a functional preson, you may not have the authorization to change the parameters, and that would be your next question.
Better not mess around with parameters (done at the operating system level, preferably) unless the full implications are known. You surely would have some basis guys to support your R/3?

Hello Nemo,
Proceed as follows: insert the parameter icm/keep_alive_timeout with a value of 300 (via RZ10). This way, the time out only appears after 5 minutes instead of 1. The same setting can be modified in transaction SMICM, but after restart of the server this doesn't have any affect anymore and is lost.
