Question:
Hi everyone,
We r running BW3.0 on R/3 4.6C. I am facing a peculiar problem ever since we loaded Hotpacks 9 and 10 yesterday.
The upload from r/3 or a flatfile goes up correctly with all indicators green. When I try to view the request in the infocube, it shows green but the contents just appear as a blank. Even the column headers do not appear.
I have checked the contents thru se16 and they very much exist there in the F table. I am also able to run queries on them.
Also the earlier data appears balnk but it is physically there when checked thru se16.
Is there something wrong with the user settings, or is this a problem with the hot packs 9 and 10.
I also had a small query, regarding the syntax for showing a ratio as a %. I tried using the functions in the BEx query such as %, %A, %CT with various permutation combinations but get a syntax error in all of them.
Thanx and regards,
Zubin
Answer:
Hi
Normally, when u r having data in the cube but u r not able to view it thro' BEx, In that situation, u check all the request through manage option, may be ur current request got success but the earlier one may have warning, if it is , delete it and try once again.
Regards
Hari
Answer:
Hey, we're still on SP8... and don't have the problem described by you.
I have checked the contents thru se16 and they very much exist there in the F table. I am also able to run queries on them.
The above line however makes me believe you are in fact dealing with a bug... if you can report on them and see them in SE16, there must be something wrong in the transaction to display the contents via the manage option.
Check OSS on SP10... if it's not mentioned there, log a message asap.
cheers,
El Belgio
Answer:
if there is an aggreagate defined and active on the cube, if your requests are not rolled up, you would be able to see data from SE16 but not in bex

Answer:
Dear Hari, El Belgio and CHC,
Thanx for ur replies, esp El Belgio. It has fortified our belief that it could be a bug itself. We have gone thru the SP9 and 10 documentation but could not come up with any substantial info on our problem. Will be escalating to SAP itself.
By the way, I managed to sort out the formula syntax problem.
The operator in this case %CT or %A is put between the keyfigures rather than before or after, as is normally the case.
Thanx and regards,
Zubin
