iDoc: Sent, not Arrived

Question: Hi everyone,

I'm a BW newbie so please bear with me...

I'm having a problem with the extraction of some data from HR.

After a long time, the Monitor shows the following message:

Sending packages from OLTP to BW lead to errors

Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to the SAP BW using RFC.

System response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of the SAP BW.

Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can get to this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".

Removing errors:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is completely connected to the SAP BW. Check especially the authorizations of the background user in the source system.

After browsing through the forum for help, I've done the following:
I've checked the extractor using RSA3 in the source system. It's working correctly.
I've checked the RFC connection (SM59) and it's working too.
Partner Profiles exist (WE20)
There's nothing in the Trasactional Que (SM58)
The iDocs in BD87 have the status 03 and 53, which I gather means successful.
The user, BIWREMOTE, has the profiles SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW

I tried limiting the selsction to just 4 records and it still does the same thing.

The data is even in the PSA, but does not load into the ODS.
I'm using the Full Update method.

Could anyone please assist me?
I'm sure it's something small that I'm missing....

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards,

Answer:
Anyone...

Another thing I noticed is that in the monitor it says ( 125 From 0 Records )

Surely something's wrong there...

I would appreciate any help with this.

Thanks again.

Answer:
Try to use report program RBDapp01 in source system & process Idoc there .

Answer:
Hi bw_techie,

Thanks for the response.

I tried running that report but it says "No data could be selected."

I should also mention that the DataSource is not part of Business Content.
I created a new one. I might have made that incorrectly. But if the data is
reaching the PSA and the simulation in RSA3 is working, then it should be right...

I'm really running out of ideas now.
Any help at all will be greately appreciated.

Thanks,
Vivendran

Answer:
Hi ,

Its really hard to tell u the 1 solution for this as it can be having many reason like transfer rules & mapping of info object in transfer structure ( as u mentioned there in no problem in PSA ) .

so take care of that part , i m sure problem is there only .

All the best

Answer:
the other thing you can check, is the ods set to automatic activation? if so turn it off and see if it loads successfully into the ODS, then you know its a problem with the activation.

also in an ODS, you cannot mix full loads with deltas and inits unless the full load is set to a repair request.

Answer:
Hi everyone.

Thanks to bw_techie and Trev for your help.

I've managed to solve the problem. I just ran a "Restore" on the source system and reactivated all the transfer rules and it's now working.

Thanks again for the help.
