Question:
We're using BeX Analyzer with different kinds of users. Some users have SAP_ALL as a basis role and experience no problem. A lot of users have restricted users and experience problems when displaying report description when navigating through infoarea. They can only see technical names for queries. If they use the search function to find queries they have no problems.
Does anyone know if there might be some authorization issue which would allow the display of descriptions or not.
The problem surfaced after latest support packages
Answer:
Hi,
Baybe it's not an authorization problem but just the language in which you maintain the description. If you didn't use English you may have this problem. We faced such a problem once.
Hope this will help.
Answer:
instead of baybe it was maybe of course. Sorry!!!
Answer:
No Problem
I've tried to do some research on how to change language, but not quite sure that I am on the right path.
Did you use transaction code SLWA?
Answer:
Hello
One way to change the discription in the query is manually just change the description of the query to the language that you want to see.
Onother way is go to RSA1 then Translation, you can collect the oblects you want to translate just like you do when you transport objects. To be honest I haven't ty this one but theoratically I know it works.
Another thing you can check is whether you have problem when you log in to BW in a language different to English or you have problem independedly to the language you select when you log in.
Regards
