Hi Experts,
I have say for ex. Company code which is
an attribute of Plant which is again an attribute of Forwarding agent.
In the target cube I have company code as characteristic and also Plant.
I have forwarding agent in my Source Cube and Plant is not directly in my Source Cube .
How do i populate COmpany code and Plant in my Target Cube.

I guess this question is too simple for u experts and i didn't knew that we can populate the field from InfoSource...
Any Ways my question is can i use the option in update rules :
Attribute of characteristic (where in i'll give forwarding agent to populate plant and give plant in the update rule for company code) or i'll have to write some code to do the same as i dont have forwarding agent directly in my target cube...
hope i'm able to word my problem to ur understandibility....

for populating plant in update rules you can use option "Attribute of characteristic"
for the company code this is not possible as you can not use the attribute of the attribute of a characteristic (in bw 3.1) in this option. so you'll have to write some abap in the update rules...

The question was really open. As Mti said, it's a matter of small abap code. If you need, I guess you can find some examples in the forum.
