Question:
Hello all,
We have a process chain scheduled to run daily. It had run yesterday for the first time but today the jobs didnīt started! It means that today we didnīt load any data.
Can you please tell me some probable reasosn that can explain this?
Thanks,
Marta.

One probable reason :
you forgot to flag the box "periodic job" in the scheduling panel
Ch
Answer:
was your system down?
is the job still in status "waiting"???
Answer:
Hi,
yes, the job is setted to run peridically and the job didnīt even started ( so itīs not in the waiting status)
One more question: we had done some changes on the subprocess chains and activate them but we didnīt activate the meta chain.
Can this be a reason?
thanx,
Marta.
Answer:
Hi ,
If CHC's reason is right than you dont need to do anything excpet check on "Periodic Job" & Schedule it , if EL Belgio's reason is right than check the details by Sm37 & give this "BI_PROCESS*" . you will see the details by status & job log . If it is really the shut down this problem will be happened with other process chain too .
In case if these are not the reason than I would strongly recommand you to check background process with Basis as you many know process chain are trigged with background if this is the cause then you can overcome this problem with program "RBDAPP01" ( for temprarory time ) . This program will help you to push IDOC from the source system , if they struck there .
I hope these some options can get you the reson of not running your process chain .
Cheers

Answer:
Unfortunately none of these reasons are the case: no system shut down, no job waiting, job scheduled periodically and no problem with IDOCīs or even missing background processes.
Do the metachain have to be activated when some changes are done on the subprocess chains?
thanx,
Marta.
Answer:
Hi
If you have svheduled the job to be periodic , obviously there has to be a BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER job scheuled.
Did u chek the job log for the this today in the PC ?
You may get some information from the log.
.
Answer:
Yes, this job is in status scheduled, but didnīt started and thereīs no log for today on the PC.
any ideas?
thanx,
Marta.
Answer:
So this is the problem i think.
For the job to start at a particular time, it should be in released state, not scheduled state
I hope you had specified a start condition (start time ).
Answer:
Hi,
Now I can not check if we had before a job on the released status because we activate all process chains again today. So we have now the job on status released.
So, letīs see if tonight the process chain will start.
Thank you all for your reply,
Marta.
