I am very new to BW system and need some help on how to assign a different R/3 source system to BW info-objects.
We have a BW 3.50 / SEM 4.0 IDES system which comes pre-configured with some info-cubes and info-providers point to some non-existent source systems (T90CLNT090). Is there an easy way to assign the info-source and corresponding info-cube etc to a different R/3 source system?
I have already created the R/3 source system. I tried to assign DataSource to an infosource by changing the source system, but it doesn't take effect. What am I doing wrong? Can someone assist me and point me in the right direction.

Answer:
You don't have to change the existing assignment, you need to create a new assignment.
The datasource itself will have to be recreated as it is source-system dependent,
and you will have to connect your existing infosource a second time, using the new datasource instead of the old one.
