The problem is that i can do a variable as a single value of a node, but i have to do a variable that let to choose only some nodes (it has to restict the choose between some nodes that i want)

i have a charateristic (profit center) and i have many hierarchies.
i have to build a variable to choose the hierarchy to use (and so the profit center to use).

I have a problem like this.
doing a variable for the hierarchy is simple (you have to choose in the hierarchy field a variable in the properties of the characteristic)
but i have to use a characteristic many times in the same query and i have to filter this characteristic using different hierarchies (that are chosen by the user in input)
So i did a structure with the characteristic (to use several times the same charateristic), but in this way when i display the properties of the characteristic i haven't the field hierarchy (and i have to choose a variable that define the node and not the hierarchy).
does anybody have an idea to solve my problem?
Answer:
If the characteristic column is a single you can use only one variable and multiple hierarchy selection is not possible.
But if you have created different rows for different hierarchies try to create multiple variables for the same characteristics and try it out. But selling this to the users is a tough task
