Question:
Hi,
We're trying to create (reuse) a logon screen for accessing BW via WEB,
I've tried to use transaction SICF and the function to redirect to URL, like it's explained in the help pages, but it doesn't seems to works.
In the logon screen i need to permit users to change the password.
Does anyone have done something like this.
Thanks in advance
Pedro

Answer:
I had my BASIS guy do exactly what you are wanting to do. I guess he did what the OSS note said to do. If I remember correctly you have to go into the BEx service and change the error page to be redirected to a BSP page. He changed the port from 1080 to 1443. I am not sure if this is a standard port or if there are other that can be used. This did change the logon screen, but it seemed to hurt performance and I had some problems with different IE browsers. This was sporatic, sometimes it worked other times it did not work. I had to remove this change because I could no longer view BW reports in the Portal. This is something that I am sure everyone who goes through the web will need to do eventually, but there really is not any good documentation on it.

Hi,
I have done this, and I agree that docu is pretty sad. In fact, even SAP-OSS responded stating that this cd only be accomplished using the ITS, which of course, is not true.
Anyways, this worked exactly as described only AFTER we changed the following profile parameter in TCOD RZ11 (I hv encl the screen entries)
Pl note that u may not be using SSO, but u will still hv to enable this paramtr if u want a web login.
Send me a pvt msg, & I shall send out screen dumps of the login screen.
-------------------------------------------------
Parameter Name
login/accept_sso2_ticket
Short description(Engl) Accept SSO ticket logon for this (component) system
Appl. area Logon
ParameterTyp Logical value
Changes allowed Change permitted
Valid for oper. system All operating systems
DynamicallySwitchable

Current value 1
Hope it helps ...

bwfan,
Is there a number I could contact you at to discuss this. I have done this a couple of ways and am not sure what the difference is. Also, have you changed this logon and successfully used SSO with the portal and crystal decisions.
thanks,
