Hi BW fans !
We are on BW3.5 R/3(SAP Retail) ERP 2004_1_500
We want to use 2lis_43_poscas and 2lis_44_posrec but don't know how to "Perform setup" , because in section "Filling in Setup Table" i can't find buttons for this 2 datasource.
We can see that there are setup tables been defined by SAP in se16 when looking for *setup* tables. But we can not find any menu option or any documentation as to how to update these setup tables.

There is a lot more to it than just activating these datasources. Firstly you need to check which way POS data is to be loaded to ERP. The old method (still often used) is to load via IDOC WPUBON. It is this IDOC that ties up with 2LIS_44_POSREC. The latest way is to use the Netweaver POS Inbound Processing Engine (PIPE), which will use completely different datasources from a different source system (not ERP). PIPE datasources start with 0RT_PA*. PIPE accumulates the POS and loads the appropriate summarised levels to ERP and BW.
I don't have experience with PIPE, but if you are using the old method you will need to see note 202724 about directing POS data to BW. Someone will also have to connect the POS input fields with structure MCPOSREC for receipts, and MCPOSCAS for cashier data. With the supermarket project I worked on, we decided not do do cashier and instead created a transparent table in R/3. Lastly there is no setup for the 2LIS_44 extractors. The delta needs to be activated, then data will stream through, but it is not accumulated in R/3.
Hope that helps. You will need to do a lot more research and connect up with the technical guys who are implementing the POS interface to ERP.
