ODS Request once again update into Info cube

Question: Hi All

I am using SAP BW version 3.0B. I have created the ODS and Info Cube.
Data will load into info Cube from ODS (automatic Data Target check box has been clicked).

I have loaded R/3 data into ODS in 6 different request then in Info Cube the same 6 request updated properly. But 4th Request in Info cube not loaded properly so I deleted the 4th request from Info cube(180500 Records).

But now I want to reload the data from ODS to Infocube using the same request (4th ) from ODS to Info cube.

Please let me know any one how to reload data from ODS to Info cube using same request in ODS.

thanks in Advance.

Answer:
Hi!

In your scenario the only way is to drop infocube contents and reload it from ODS

Answer:
Hi Johnson

If the request still stay into PSA, is possible to reload it. If It is your scenario give your e-mail and IŽll send you a step by step document to do that.

Luck!!

Answer:
You need not delete the Cube contents, just apply the 451887. We have used this note and 394410 several times successfully.

Answer:
Hi Jhonson

You can reconstruct the request deleted. Right Click your ODS object & click on Manage. You have 3 tabs there. Contents, Requests & Reconstruct. Click on the Reconstruct tab. Even though you have deleted the request it will be here. You can select the Request by its Request Number and click on the Reconstruct/Insert button at the bottom. It should work.

All - sign up to the SAP BW experts magazine. There will be an article on the new features in 3.0B with regard to managing requests in ODS.

Answer:
Hi Johnson,

I feel the u should follow the first reply which you have got.
Delete all the data from the InfoCube.Go to the ODS and in the context menu, click Update ODS data in data targets. Then u get some message.click ok on that message after reading it.
Then it will ask u whether to do a full update or Initial Update.Select Initial Update and in the Scheduler(which is scheduled in background),select immediate option.it will start a background job immediately.this will work absolutely fine.
We have done this a couple of weeks ago in our production system.

Thanks,
SAV
