GLOBAL & Multiple BW Project Implementation

Question: Dear GURUs

has any one worked on multiple BW project implementation.
If so can any one share his/her experiences with me.

I am BW consultant with 10 years of SAP experience ,being selected to LEAD a multiple BW project implementation ,but havent worked on such before,never got a chance.

any suggestions or expert opinions are welcome....

and moreover its also an consulting question ,big companies charge thousand Dollars $$$$ for these scenarios ,do you think one would answer you free consulting advice or guidelines or rules and regulations you asked for

I would say... use common sense, have a strict set of rules but not too many of them, have a "global" team or at least one person to "overlook" things, ... THE key is communication, if that's good, the project's success is already guaranteed for 50%

Few TIPS & TRICKS might help you-
16 imperative golden rules listed below -

1)Establish rules and boundaries from the beginning
My school of thoughts believes in BW basics and basic terminology.
Term Sandbox shouldn’t be an misnomer for the consultants to play around at the cost of customers/clients Expense.
I would make sure simulating it to 80 % a real scenario.
2)Proactively Identify all BW-shared objects and communicate these information across all project teams(more than 1 project team on same GLOBAL project)
3)Assign OWNERSHIP of shared objects to individual projects.
4)Analyze relationships of Master data objects
Perform in-depth analysis of shared objects and touch points.
In master data model ,its vital to know which elements multiple pojects share at different levels of data ,because adjustments made to infoobjects that act as attributes for others can have adverse effects.
5)Analyze effects of overlapping timelines
6)Plan for an Inheritance planning for shared objects
Transferring ownership of shared objects to new owner, once previous owner has completed development (when different project teams work together)
7)Establish Governance controls early
Setting BW governance board to verify design and implementation reviews to ensure quality and integrity of architecture
Include SME(subject matter experts) ,change management…
8)Set migration schedule & Project milestones on FIFO(First In First OUT) basis
ROLLOUT -Depending on which project team has tightest deadline and done FIRST with testing would move the objects across the stack.
9)Reviewing all PLANNED models when multiple teams begin with actual project development
10)Build actual design upon approval and testing of prototype
11)Unit testing - Project team with strickest deadlines should control the schedules at least for shared objects
12)Transport governance -Governance board should ensure that transport adheres to defined project scope,milestones,deadlines,object ownerships
13)Analyze IMPACTS of scheduled transports for all project teams
14)Parallel DESIGN Architecture -If multiple projects overlap in BW development effort, split the PROJECTS in to DUAL IMPLEMENTATION
Two concurrent development projects can have Two separate Instances that follow same procedure aforementioned.
15) Move first project in to Integration testing and then the second.
16)Break BW project teams releases in to separate ROLLOUTS
3-6 month rollouts allows different project teams manage same time window and milestone dates in same development environment.

To conclude you must have got the GIST of the scenario that Communication is the ESSENCE of SUCCESS here ,no matter how much you plan or do homework without proper communication you wouldn’t succeed.
Above mentioned facts were based on some of the experiences plus quest and incessant perseverance for the knowledge ,could have missed out on some while drafting but it does take care of most issues in totality.

Discipline is one thing which is not been gifted or inherited it has to be inculcated and then institutionalized.

I do it daily at the moment.
It is not because YOU can't answer the question that it is asked in the wrong forum ; otherwise I would have to move a lot of reporting questions that I can't answer...

Now, since El Belgio's answer looks the best one for me, I will just add my comment :
handle "multiple BW implementation" just change the size of the scope ; don't make this thing rocket science, build on what you already know with your 10 years experience and try to delegate where appropriate (since the size of the project) and do not try to over-control what is developped by other people.
