Question:
In an extract monitor, we see the message: ( xxxx from yyyy records )
which keeps changing....I understand it is the count of records that is being read...but what do xxxx and yyyy really mean?

Communication with source-system (normally R3):
x from y
From the source system, there are several types of messages that can be differentiated by the so-called Info-IDoc-Status. The IDoc with status 2 plays a particular role here;
x: it describes the number of records that have been extracted in a source system and sent to BW. T
y: he number of the records received in BW is checked against this information.
