ODS problem after homogeneous copy

Question: Hi everyone

Well, I'm completely stumped this time. I'm trying to activate data in an ODS. Before the system copy, I made sure that everything was rolled up and activated in the ODS. I followed the SAP notes - and ran BDLS of course. I did a data extract into the ODS and I'm getting the message below when I activate it. I have checked RSRV - no problems and also reactivated the ODS (fixed the problem the last time). But I still get this message.......

Activation is running: Data target ZRTOPUR, from 6,106 to 6,106
Data to be activated successfully checked against archiving objects
SIDs determined successfully for request REQU_3WKZHNMQDPNRZQFQZ7Q73TVDN from ODS object ZRTOPUR
Request REQU_3WKZHNMQDPNRZQFQZ7Q73TVDN, data package 000001 incorrect with status 5 in rsodsacstreq
Request REQU_3WKZHNMQDPNRZQFQZ7Q73TVDN, data package 000001 not correct
Inserted records 1-; Changed records 1-; Deleted records 1-
No confirmation for request ODSR_3WL51I0PWUW1P47X7FTFOVY8R when activating the ODS object ZRTOPUR
There is no PSA for InfoSource 8ZRTOPUR and source system BD1CLNT020
System error occurred (RFC call)
Errors occured when carrying out activation
Analyze errors and reactivate if necessary
Activation of data records from ODS object ZRTOPUR terminated

Any ideas? I'm fresh out.....

Answer:
seven_of_nine,

Is "source system BD1CLNT020" the name of the system you copied from or your new system?
I'm having a similar issue. We copied from PBW (our production BW) to a new test BW (TBW). Followed notes to resync everything, and successfully loaded our ODS from our test R/3 system. But when I try and activate the ODS I get message

"There is no PSA for InfoSource 8ZD_ITEM and source system PBW..."

But my source system should be TBW and not PBW. Obviously something didn't convert properly or we missed a step.
Can anyone help?

thanks,
Zukeman

Answer:
Well, I've resolved the issue. You need to go into the ODS definition. Change anything - I switched the BEX flag. Save. Then switch the flag back and activate. And that should resolve the issue.

Viola it will work

Answer:
Don't know if anybody needs the information, but ...

I had the same problem, and found note 518426 which seems to solve the problem of repairing one by one the ODS programs.

Many thanks Fred - looks like this may be what we need.
I'll try this next time we do a back copy and post feedback.
