Hi ,
Is there a way I can change the contents of variable dynamically in query .Let say user enter the values of fiscal period as 002/2003 then it should sum all periods before 002/2003 and display the results.
Are there customer exits available for it.
Any help highly appreciated it.

There is a user exit available, I believe it's EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001. Check OSS (or Sapnet) for more info about the use of it. You could play around with the I_STEP parameter.
