%CT Result return "Cannot carry out all normings"

Question: Hi,
I have a report with MATERIAL in rows, CALMONTH in columns, and key figures under CALMONTH. Two key figures: QUANTITY, %QTY OVER TOTAL.
When I execute query, message "Could not carry out all normings" is shown and X appears on all rows.
I have read OSS note 164352. I have applied all fronted patches. My BW is 3.1Content.
I have tried using %CT. Also trying to put a column with the total and using %A but I cannot get the result.
Any idea of how to get this report (without using cell editor) in 3.1??
The report will be as:

-----------------------JAN --------------FEB ------------- MAR --------------
........................... Units %Total Units %Total ....
MATERIAL 1 10 10% 70 12%
MATERIAL 2 20 20% ....
MATERIAL 3 80 80%
Total 100 100%

Thanks

Hi,

I'm pretty sure that you can't put characteristics in Columns if you want to use the percentage formulas (I know for certain you can't with %CT). It looks as if you had a time characteristic in because you had month going across the top. You can probably get round this by creating Selections/Formulas.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I am quite sure I cannot use %CT. But using selections and formulas I have not found any way of getting the report in a flexible way. Obviously, I can define colum by column, but I need different columns. I need always MATERIAL in rows to see QUANTITY and PCTG on total, but in columns I can see these key figures by CALMONTH (month by month), by PLANT, by DAYOFWEEK, and so on.

Thanks anyway and regards.

Do you have any other idea to get this report?

Answer:
This is an example I have created, not sure if you'll find it useful.

Basically it shows a Product Status down the side and a % by Product along the top. Something like:

Product Status %Prod1 %Prod2 %Prod3 %Prod4 etc...
----------------- --------- -------- --------- ---------
No Interest 50 40 30 20
No Awareness 30 20 10 10
Pilot 10 30 50 50
Full Supply
etc......

There is selections for each product (Prod1, Prod2 etc....) and then there is a formula based on these selections that reads %CT Prod1 and so on.

It was a pain to modify the report in order to incorporate %CT because, like you say, you need to create the individual columns.

Answer:
Hi,
I undertsand you, but this is not a valid solution because you'll need to know the exact number of products to see in order to specify columns.
I want to specify, for example, months. The user only specify a period, and there is a column for every month in the period. So, the report can have, two, three, twelve, ... columns, depending on th period. Moreover, I want to have the possibility of doing it by month, or by day of week, or other characteristic (still it is the less important thing, because I can define several queries).
The main problem is to get the %Total column, having material in rows and, for example, month in columns (and key figures under months).

Thanks again.
