Question:
I need to create a RKF in development and restrict the values with the specific range. In development I do not have all the required values to restrict though I unchecked the 'Only values in the Infoprovider' and I also changed the BEX properties on the backend. I still cannot change the restriction to restrict a value that is not in the master data nor in the infoprovider.
My Question :
Is there a way to restrict the values of a attribute if that particular value is not in the master data in development but will have that value in production.
Any suggestions
Thank you
Answer:
Simply type the value in the white box (next to the binoculars) in the 'Selection for attribute' panel, and then move it into the 'Selection' box using the big blue arrow.
You will get a warning:
"Value xxx is not in the master data table. This value can be used in the query, but you must update the master data."
When you acknowledge the warning message the value will be acceptied in the definition of the RKF.
Answer:
If you're wishing to restrict based on a range, type the starting and ending values in the white box next to the binoculars, separating these values with a semicolon.
I.E. for values AB through YX, enter AB;YX in the white box, and then click on the big blue arrow to move it to the 'Selection' are of the restriction definition panel.
