Hi,
I get the error 'Infosource does not exist in the source system' when i try to activate 2LIS_03_BF in the BW system.
The procedure until the error was:
1. Activated the datasource in R/3 using transaction LBWE
2. Replicated and refreshed datasources on the BW side.
3. I tried to activate the Infosource when i get the above error.
The suggested procedure (from the long text) to rectify the error is to sync up the metadata. I thought I already did this. If not, how do I go about doing this?

You didn't specify which version of BW you are using.
The problem is that there is no standarad Business Content available for datasource 2LIS_03_BF as of BW Version 3.0B.
Follow these steps to solve your problem.
First check whether any standard business content available in Business Content on the BW.
If you don't find anything, that means no standard infosource is delivered, which leaves the option to create the infosource manually and assign to your datasource.

I am currently on 2.0b. The above mentioned Infosource is part of the Logistics Cockpit (under Inventory Management). I am beginning to think this is due to the patch level I am on (number 17).
I have no problem seeing the fields in the extract structure in BW. Only when i try to activate the Infosource in BW that i get the error. Has any one faced this before?
Can somebody guide me to the stable patch level on 2.0b?

I sorted out the above problem though. it was a simple matter of connection b/w R/3 and BW.
Now my task is to fill the cube. Basically the data filled by the Infosource is from the table MSEG. there is no standard Business content for the cube. But the Business content for infosource and the transfer rules exist. I can create a custom cube to hold the data.
On the R/3 side I do not know which LIS structure to fill. there is no LIS structure called 'BF'. Which LIS structure am I supposed to 'setup'?
Can anyone help me with this?
