Hi SAP Fans,
We just upgraded fro BW 3.1, support pack 013 to 019. I am wondering if anyone else encounter the following problem :
We have a role menu containing the user queries. Since that pack is there, we are getting two error messages when logging to the user area to have the menu displayed
First one says : ')' expected
Second one : Object expected
The role menu is not displayed. It gives the title and the user's favourite section.
Any ideas on what is happening there?

I have seen this before and the fix has always been to delete the temporary internet files.

But in this case, I already tried clearing up the temporary internet files as well as the BW cache. Still same error.
Any other ideas...please...someone?

Check to see if this occurs with everyone. If it does not, I would look to see the names of either a favorites or a role menu entry to see if there is a /, ?, or any other special characters. This did happen to us for a specific user who had saved a favorite and the name had a / at the end of it. Hope this helps.

Nobody can get the menu at all. We get the logon screen, then a part of the WAD which is the title, the favorites and then, no menu is sent at all. I did change the url directly to force another Web App. Designer template and it works. It looks like it is related with the Web item Role menu.

We just got an answer from SAP. SAP note 808460 should fix the problem. We now have to wait to get the corresponding release note to implement support pack 20

We opened an OSS and SAP had note 808460 for that problem. The code is there to fix the problem.

We did the corrections but the issue remains.
