Dear all,
I am working with 3.0A version but upgrading to 3.0B
I am in Development/Test system but now I need to plan the setup of Production system (all activities after create production client in PROD machine) and transport.
Note: I know that I cannot transport between two different versions, so just to clarify, I am upgrading Dev/Test to 30B before transport to my PROD 30B system.
I have been planning this based on the Step by Step Guide SAP BW by Biao Fu and Henry Fu. This guide is not 3.0B version and for another way I have not the 3.0B version available to investigate.
Can someone let me know about the differences / Delta of 3.0B version regarding this specific question.
Additionally, can someone let me know about another step by step guide regarding set up and transport activities?

I suggest you to post this in the basis forum as well, as the concept is the same as for a normal R3 instance,just specify that the kernel is 620 (not 40b or 46c for instance)

I can see your point when you say to post this message in the basis forum AS WELL.
However I am much more interested in the BW specific tasks like: mapping of the source system names (shift+F6), etc.
By the way, once in production do I need to activate datasources in R/3 Production? activate business content in BW Production? Does "mapping of the source system names (shift+F6)" replace replication of datasources in BW Production?
