hi,
recently i have installed sap bw 3.1(previously i worked with sap 3.0a). As iam trying to load data in a infocube through flatfile, iam getting errors in IDOCs and RFC transfer. And also errors in extraction(missing messages). But when the check the infocube and fact table contents, the required data is present. Iam following the sap bw FU FU book. Can any1 help me regarding the version changes i have to make from bw 3.0a to bw 3.1.

Sometimes the data comes earlier than the messages. This is a normal occurance and is fine. Wait for sometime and you will recieve somemore data or a final conformation from r/3 stating everything is OK.

I guess you are using flat file to load the data .
Try using I_EXTERNAL as the source system.
the FuFu book probably guide you to create source system for a flat file - when creating a source system fro flat file you need some extra settings for partner profile and message type - the transaction is WE21. The book does not mentions those settings. So for this step dont create your source system - use SAP std source system for flat files i.e. I_EXTERNAL
