When I go to RSA5 in R/3 and try to transfer a data source in Materials Management, its asking me to save in a development class. Which development class chould i select. Is it ok if i save it as a local object pr in $TMP?
Whom should i contact to find out which development class they are using? BASIS guys??

This is only OK if you have no intention to promote your activation to production.
Ask your basis, or maybe abap developers if you have some around.
I suggest you ask them to create a new development to be used only for BW developments.
