Question:
Dear Gurus,
in couple of days we start the upgrade project from 4.6B to 4.7.
We are also running BW 3.0B.
My question is: does anyone of you faced already this kind of project?
Can you please advise what we have to take care of after migration (or during migration)? Any hints more than welcomed....
thanks in advance

Answer:
so you're 'just' upgrading your R/3, nothing happening to BW?
Shouldn't be any real issues towards BW; the only real important thing to consider are the delta queues. Male sure all your delta loads have taken place before the actual upgrade (so that the extraction and delta queues are emtoed)
Answer:
and also: after the upgrade in R/3 has happened make sure:
- to check if your source sytem is still active
- do a replicate of the source system (to replicate the Datasource) and
- run RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL to reaactivate the Transfer Rules
LAst 2 steps are necessary to avoid 'timestamp' dumps when loading
Answer:
Hi TFR,
thanks a lot for all...
I have one more question what about mapping?
Can it happenes that after upgrade to 4.7 fields in 4.7 can have different names than in 4.6B and BW will have a problem to extract data?
Do we have to do remapping?
thanks

It should not be the case. If it is, call SAP immediately.

The buggers have 'refined' the descriptions of the datasource fields.
FI_GL_4 has more fields than in 4.6.
LBWE shows only queued and serialized deltas, and in the sandbox environment where we have upgraded from 4.6 to 4.7, all the serialized deltas of 4.6 have become queued deltas. Couldn't check if they worked or not, because the sandbox is stand-alone, till now.
