Question:
Dear BW friends,
I have already estabilished some delta queues on our BW system. Some of them have R/3 as source system and some have BW itself as source system (data flows from one ODS to another via export datasource and with delta management on BW source system).
When I run RSA7 on R/3 source system, all datasources with an active delta queue are listed there. But when I run RSA7 on BW, there are no datasources listed (no datasources listed at all). I suppose that the BW export datasources for those I have an active delta queue would be listed there!!
I need to repeat a delta extraction (from BW to BW) and I am not getting where/how to do it.
Is this a bug or BW RSA7 do not work the same way R/3 RSA7?
Is there any note ( / documentation) that correct ( / explains) this?
Thanks in advance,
Sergio Oliveira.

I was surprised by this remark, but I have to admit it is also the case in my system.
This is most probably due to the fact the delta "queue" is in fact stored in the ODS tables themselves (while I always thought that at least a pointer to there would have been registered in RSA7)
Anyway, as it is not in RSA7 that you do a delta repeat, it's not a big issue :
Locate the infosource that encountered the problem during delta ; try to run a delta infopackage manually, the system will then tell you there is a problem and propose to perform a delta repetition.

Answer:
I located the InfoSource and tried to schedule a new delta extraction.
However, I am a little scared because system didn't advise me that last delta extraction run with problems - if I am not wrong, system would propose me a delta repeat as soon as I choose the "schedule" option on context menu.
In fact, the problem that I faced when doing the last extraction was a Time-out - for system resources reason - and data was extracted from ODS "source" (all requests have a check mark at the Data Mart Status of the Request column) but do not reached the ODS target. I still have a log file of this run.
Well, since source ODS have over 5.5 mi registers, and considering the above, would you please confirm that yet this is not a big issue?
Again, thanks in advance for your kindly help, and best regards.

Answer:
As per my understanding, when you are loading data from R/3 your delta queue is in r/3 system(rsa7).
when you do export data source(BW to BW), the datasource is stored in datamart.you can search for you datasource there.
Answer:
Hi, everybody!
I reached the solution for this problem (delta repetition from one ODS to another). So, this hint may be useful for somebody.
For one may do a delta repetition from a ODS to another ODS, it is necessary follow this steps:
1- delete the request with error on the ODS target;
2- on the ODS source, locate the most recent delta request: it may have a check mark on the Data Mart Status of the Request column (which indicates data have already been extracted and send to its target). Press button with check mark, and a list of the request on connected data targets will be shown. On the column Reset Delta Management, press over the recycled bin, and confirm that one wants to reset delta management: this will reset the delta management control over only this request;
3- locate the export datasource and run a delta extraction again: it will run a delta repetition.
Thats it. I hope it will be userfull for anybody.

Thanks Sergio for ur valuable inputs.
