Question:
We have recently upgraded our BW from 2.1c to 3.0b in our test environment and it appears that we cannot selectively delete data packets from our ODS. We still get told that we must delete all later packages as in 2.1c.
I have replicated my datasource, reactivated my infosource, activate update rules and the ODS itself - but this hasn't made any difference.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Answer:
Selective deletion of requests from an ODS object – Technically, this is realized by deleting all requests that have been posted since the request to be deleted, as well as the actual request to be deleted, from the change log. Then, all requests apart from the one to be deleted are reposted.
Answer:
Deletion or rollback of requests that have already been updated
When a request is deleted from the change log, a cancellation request is generated. This cancellation request forwards the deletion information to the data target into which the request has already been updated.
Answer:
Thanks for that Schalasani
I didn't think that v3.0b was so restrictive.
