Question:
Hi All,
I have set a 'latest end' deadline on an activity within my workflow which is working correctly, as I receive a 'Missed Deadline' work item in the deadline messages folder within my inbox when the deadline is reached. Is it possible to turn off the the automatic sending of the 'Missed Deadline' work item ?
Regards,
Andrew.
Answer:
Hi Andrew,
You can 'Model' a different process to be followed after that Latest End is reached.
If you give an example of what you are trying to do, I can help more.

Answer:
Thanks Ron,
I have already tried to use a modelled outcome with no activity to try and stop the missed deadline work item from getting created, however, this didn't work. I suppose I would have to actually model the outcome with an actual activity for the missed deadline work item to be supressed. I understand why the standard deadline monitoring would send this missed deadline work item, it makes sense, however the users on my current project don't want to get this standard notification (which defeats the purpose in my opinion). However, I have a work around which is to set the missed deadline recipient as user wf-batch which means the notifications will never be seen by the users....

Andrew.
Answer:
Hi Andrew,
Why do the Deadline Monitoring at all?
If its a Standard Workflow and Task just copy it and remove the Deadline Monitoring.
Low work effort...

Answer:
Hi Ron,
It's a custom workflow and task for an activity scenario in CRM, and I agree that it defeats the purpose of having deadline monitoring if no one is notified. However the customer still wants to have it as they can see that the task has reached it's deadline in the inbox i.e. the work item colour changes, the missed deadline icon appears and the scrolling missed deadline message appears in the task descrition. They think that this information is enough and that the additional missed deadline work item is not required....... It's the first time I've had a customer that wants to use deadline monitoring this way
Cheers,
Andrew.
